Everybody tweets about their daily lives on Twitter or just updates about it on Facebook, but have you noticed how many spelling and grammatical mistakes they make ? Well, sometimes it is fine because sometimes they are just too hilarious to be ignored.
Stuart Gilbert has created this site that fetches Twitter and Facebook status updates that have certain spelling or grammar mistakes. Those words are highlighted in the sentence. You can also control the speed of scrolling using the slider which is present at the top left hand side of this page. If you find this funny you can also share it with your friends on Twitter or Facebook.

Almost everyone using a Facebook chat loves to use emoticons. The only trouble with them is how many can you remember? Well so here is a quick way to use them without remembering them. You can download an add-on on Firefox and start using them instantly.
This add-on gives you a set of emoticons at the top of all of your chat windows. You can use them just by clicking. Phew what a relief from remembering those things. 🙂 Do you know of any other such script that does the same or better than this? Do share it with me through the comments below.
I have always felt jealous by the Yahoo emoticon’s look and feel and the way there are more options there. Have you ever tried to update your Facebook status or send an emoticon to someone on their wall? It appears as a simple text smiley. Well now you can get your favorite emoticons on Facebook. You just need to install this Greasemonkey script and see the magic happen. 😉
How to install?
You should have Greasemonkey script installed on your Mozilla Firefox. If not then install it from here.
Only bad thing about it is that the smileys are shown on you Facebook not on somebody else’s. 🙁 But well better than not showing any thing at all.
Now try updating your status or sending anybody any smiley, you will see the new bigger and better smileys. 🙂 In the image above I am using an emoticon that is available with only Yahoo.

If you are into Social media and all and love to have Facebook ,twitter and everything going side by side then I am sure you will love it. As soon as I have downloaded Rockmelt, I am getting more and more addicted to it. Here are some reasons why you should switch to Rockmelt now if you are a Facebook addict.
Earlier when I used to play games on Facebook I had to switch to another tab to see my updates and everything. Now with Rockmelt I can play games and look at the updates both on the same browser.
I can update my status, chat with Facebook friends and look at the news feed all at one place while being on twitter.
I can update my twitter status and look at the timeline or tweets at one place while being on Facebook in the same browser.
I can find friends or any information through the Google search provided on the upper right hand side of the page.
Lastly I can have my favorite friends list. This basically gives me freedom to categorize my friends with whom I always want to chat or talk.
In the image above you can see that I am playing game as well as looking at the twitter timeline. I can also look at my Facebook updates etc. If somebody has updated a set of photographs, you can view the news feed on the same browser while surfing something else. The only thing here is that you can download Rockmelt through invites only. If I am using Rockmelt then I can send you invite and you can join it too. 🙂

Recently Facebook has changed the size of fonts. The change is good as it lets more feeds appear on your page. But many people didn’t like the change as these new fonts have become too small to see. 🙁 I have searched a Greasemonkey script that brings back old Facebook fonts back to your account.

As you can see in the image above, the fonts were quite small.

How to install?
Firefox:
If using Firefox you should have Greasemonkey installed.
For Chrome users you just need to install this script and refresh.
After using these scripts your Facebook will look just as it used to look before. In case you are okay with the new fonts and just have problem reading some things then you can use ‘Ctrl +’ to zoom in a little bit. 🙂

When it comes to Facebook people think of status updates. It’s like how cool or intelligent your Facebook status was, who all commented on it. Actually, most of the conversations get started over an update. Moreover people who are into networking or stuff they keep updating their status messages on Facebook or twitter. The problem here is you are not always bubbling with ideas and everything so for that reason I am talking about this application.
Status Shuffle is an application that helps you think. 🙂 You can change your Facebook status every minute every second and that too with a new idea. You can choose from a lot of categories like Fun, Love, Religious etc. You just need to choose any topic and go ahead. Once the topic is selected the status message is displayed. If you like it use it or just shuffle it to get a new status update. 🙂
I like this application a lot because it gives you way more options and choices. Either just Google for nice quotes, search everywhere then copy paste or just start using this application and keep having cool, witty status messages anytime you want. 😉

Need a break from boring blue Facebook layout? You can add certain images and colors to it and change it into a new one. There are many ways of doing so. I will tell you one of them.
You need to install Stylish add-on for your Mozilla Firefox from here.
Restart Firefox to see the changes.
Once you have downloaded the Stylish Add-on and refreshed, you can go to the site and install any skin you wish to.
You can uninstall this add-on by choosing uninstall from tools->add on-stylish.
You can also disable this add-on by clicking once on the Stylish icon that appears on the right hand side bottom of your screen.
I tried two layouts for my Facebook page. One was Huku embrace layout and the other was Golf sport layout. These and more can be installed by you. I am putting a screenshot of my homepage after applying these layouts.
When I logged in to my Facebook account this morning I noticed small fonts. I was almost furious that who changed the settings on my computer. I even tried the ‘Ctrl +’ method to adjust it, but all in vain.
Well after tweaking a bit I realised that it is Facebook that is trying out a new feature. Facebook has switched to a smaller font for their feed to make the wall look a bit cleaner. So well let me tell you all please do not worry let Facebook try new things if they are trying to make it better.
As far as I think, I do not like this feature. May be I am so much used to it that I do not like it or the new small fonts strain my eyes. 🙂 One good thing about the new feature is that it will let you have more feeds on your wall and the bad thing is that I really have to strain my eyes to see it.

As I have loads of friends on Facebook every minute I keep getting updates of them. Sometimes I like a number of pages that my friends suggest or so. What really irritates me is when any such page is a spam or keeps on sending weird updates. In that case it is really important to remove that update from my home page.
One way to do this is just Unlike that page from the list where you have liked them or remove yourself from that page or try the new feature of Facebook which allows you to mark as spam and Unlike the pages.
How to unlike the page?
Go to that notification.
Click on the ‘X‘.
It gives you some options like Hide the post, Hide all the posts, Unlike Page, Mark as spam.
You can click what you want.
If you wish to delete any post on the Facebook it asks you to mark it as spam, hide the post, hide all the posts from the same person. So you can keep a check on posts also and mark as spam a particular person who spams a lot. 😀
The best thing with the new feature is that it will be a threat to all the Spammers. 🙂 Now you can keep a check on the spam updates and ignore them as and when required. After letting you save your Facebook information on your computer now Facebook has come up with a new feature that enables you to see everything you share with your friends. Earlier if I wanted to see what my friend A has said to Friend B or what are they sharing recently, I had to indivisually go to their home page/wall and see. Quite tiresome, right?
Well, Facebook has recently come up with a Friendship page, where you can see all the updates, messages, links or photographs two friends share. You can view what you and your friend shared or two of your friends shared on Facebook. It can be like a personal record of all your recent activities with your friends.
How to see the Friendship page?
Whenever you or somebody writes on your friend’s wall and it gets displayed, just below the notification you get a link to ‘See Friendship‘.
Once clicked, you are taken to a page where recent activities shared are displayed.
Common likes and interests are also displayed below.
On the upper hand side of the page you can ‘Browse Friendships’ or you can type the names of your friends you want to see. There are no privacy issues here. When you want to see the conversation of two of your friends and you are taken to the friendship page of your friend then any privacy setting enabled by any one of them remains the same. That is if he/she doesn’t want you to see the updates then you can’t.
This can be a problem if you do not want your friends or people to see the conversation between your friends. Anybody can go and see the shared things between your friends and you. You need to be extra careful towards what you post and do on Facebook. In other words, the need to have a good privacy settings has been increased. 🙂 But if you have created a good friend list and tweaked your settings then this feature can let you have fun. 🙂
