5 Ways to Irritate people on Facebook

Yes, in this social media world you can effectively irritate many people on Facebook just be doing a certain things. Here they are 😛

  • Put different image : Imagine when you have put a totally different person’s photograph as your profile photo. 😀 Facebook’s social captcha will be a pain then! Some people love to irritate their friends like this.
  • Spam your friends : Spams like look who viewed your profile and all, when you click on these spams they are displayed on your wall letting other people click on it and spread the spam. You should always be extra careful in clicking!
  • Let your personal stuff out : Believe me there are some people who puts snaps on Facebook that should not be made public. I wonder why does that happen ? I do get irritated on such people.
  • Repeat everything from Twitter : Common this one thing I do not like, when I am following you on twitter then I do not need same updates on my Facebook wall. Don’t clutter me!
  • Games all the time : Game updates like barn raising, credits, extra dish from Cafe world, sometimes such updates leave no stones unturned in torturing you! Play the games but please not so much. 😛

Facebook Broadens Relationship Status !

Facebook adds two new relationship status ,”in a civil union” and “in a domestic partnership”.

Yeah Facebook now gives you a freedom to choose from different relationship status. Earlier there were only married, in a relationship , engaged etc. The option for civil unions or domestic partnerships is only available to Facebook users in the US, Canada, the UK, France and Australia now.

Facebook people also said that these options were made for the region that have asked for it. Response will be seen and monitored and slowly these options will be rolled out to all.

Facebook earned $600 million Profit in 2010

Facebook earned a profit of $600 million in the year 2010. 🙂 That is a nice number !

Facebook generated about $250 million of net income in the fourth quarter of 2010. Facebook profited $355 million over 2010’s first 9 months. So, if we add the two that makes a total of $600 million. 🙂

With this growth there is chance that Facebook Inc will be generating an amount of $2 billion in 2011. And there are chances that it will overcome that also, it will surpass $4 billion in 2011.

Facebook makes its money by ads, games etc. Lets see if this come’s true ! We will keep you updated for this. What are your views on it ? Share them with me.

Facebook Rolled out new Photo Feature, Finally!

Facebook rolled out the Photo feature after a long wait. I got it today morning itself. Have a look.

Finally, Facebook rolled out the new photo feature about which we talked about, long back. I don’t understand why did they delay it so much . 🙁 We got the Facebook messages also after long.

The new feature includes a black background, slider, and better resolution. When you see any new photographs on your Facebook wall uploaded by anyone and click it, the photo opens right there. So, you need not leave the main page to see the photographs. Wow!

Women upload 200% Photographs than Men on Facebook

There are so many people in love with Facebook just because they love uploading photographs and getting comments on them. I found a lovely graph on photo upload. Have a look at it.

Wow, this is kind of amazing. Look at the statistics. Women upload almost twice photographs as men on Facebook. People upload more photographs on weekends. 🙂

MySpace officially joined Facebook !

Some two months ago I posted about how Facebook has taken over MySpace (Source) . Well, now I can’t help smiling myself, when I found out this. Even MySpace has a Facebook Page. 😀

When I saw this page it had to be shared with you all. We present you statistics, graphs and what not, but what more can we actually share? This is it ! MySpace created a page for marketing themselves on Facebook.

I know its okay to create a page and all, but will you by any chance include your biggest competitor ? Hah ! That too you are making a page on Facebook for MySpace. I wonder what Mark Zuckerberg would have felt on seeing this ? May be MySpace people just wanted to market and they found Facebook with greatest number of  social network lovers.

Facebook Sim card released!

Yes its true, now your new GSM cell phone will be having Facebook built-in. Gemalto has created the first SIM card including functions related to the social network.

He has managed to get Facebook running on a SIM chip, making every GSM phone a Facebook phone and bringing social networking to the simplest of handsets. A spokesperson for the social network confirmed the development via email. He said,

We worked closely with Gemalto on their Facebook for SIM product and believe it will be another easy and affordable way for people to stay connected through Facebook on the mobile phone of their choice. Facebook for SIM creatively combines technologies from some of our existing mobile solutions that especially are attractive for people with feature phones and have limited or no data plans with a mobile operator. Through the Facebook application on the SIM card people can: Update their status and view comments on it; write on their friends wall; receive notifications; find friends on their SIM phonebook.

Regarding Facebook phone sometimes I think I have had enough, some say it will be out some deny. So well I am waiting to see the exact launch now. What do you think ? Share your views with me on this.

Facebook Messages to be made available to All

By now I guess everyone would be knowing about the new messages. The one that lets your email id be changed to abc@facebook.com 😉 Yeah and the same one which was about to be the Gmail killer.

Anyways, jokes apart Facebook has rolled out upgraded messages to many and has said ,

We’ve begun expanding the rollout of Messages to everyone on Facebook. This will happen gradually over the next few weeks.

So, after a long wait finally this is happening. Finally we do have the Facebook messages. I really like it.

Why should you have Facebook message ?

  • You can happily give your email id as abc@facebook.com.
  • You can just enter your Facebook id and get access to the Facebook profile. 🙂 No need to write the full email id just enter the name and you get it!
  • Facebook messages are a better way to do the talking if the person is not online. The messages appear as chat.
