Get the future page rank of your URL

Every time we search for something on Google Search, Page Ranks are supposed to be at the center of how Google ends up calculating which search results is best suited and reliable. Most webmaster spend days wondering when the next announcement of Google Page Rank would be made.

I came across this Page Rank Predictor which tries to predict the page rank of any website.

The web application takes it for granted that Google does not reveal the exact Page Rank of a website and shows a Page Rank which is lower than the actual one so it can factor in a website losing credibility in the short term.

Watch Google page crumble before your eyes [Video]

Google Chrome has often been considered the cooler browser when it came to Internet Explorer. Chrome is considered to have better speed and performance which is generally accepted. Current version of Internet Explorer simply cannot match up but maybe it might with its next version.

I came across this very interesting website site on which you can literally see the Google Home page crumble before you eyes. What is more the various elements like the search bar and Google symbol can be bounced around.

What is incredible about this page is that you can left click and hold on an element on the page like the Google symbol or even the search bar and bounce it around along the browser.

This is obviously meant to show off Chrome’s superiority as a browser. The developer also has a great sense of humor as when you open this website with Internet Explorer it displays the message that “You browser is not cool enough for this website” 🙂

Check robots.txt file of a website for errors and typos

If you own a website and are obsessed with your website being search engine friendly you will probably be aware of a file called robots.txt which often has the site-map to your website. This site-map is immediately picked up by search engines web crawlers which is how search engines end up indexing billions of web pages.

What does robots.txt file do?

  • A web robot or web crawler which first visits a website it looks up for the robots.txt files. For example when a search crawler looks up https://devilsworkshop.rsites.dev6.rt.gw it will look up for https://devilsworkshop.rsites.dev6.rt.gw/robots.txt.
  • This robots.txt actually allows and disallows a search engine to look up certain directories of a domain. For instance if you website has hosted a wiki you do not want to be accessible for search engines to look up, then that directory has to be excluded from looking up by a search engine.

This is why is it necessary to check robots.txt file for typos and errors which might defeat the purpose of excluding certain directories on your website from being looked up.
